Digital Beckley
Digital Beckley sponsors Theatre West Virginia’s new web site.
“Let Time’s news be known when ‘tis brought forth” and tipping our hat to the Bard, Theatre West Virginia certainly has some news. The release of TWV’s new web site has been in dress rehearsal for several weeks undergoing final tweaks and ‘wardrobe’ adjustments before making its debut appearance on August 21, 2009.
The web site is certainly ready to take center stage as TWV ramps up for its upcoming Golden 50th Anniversary in 2010. The attractive new web site really drives home the quality of the shows TWV performs. Easy access to prominently displayed shows, a quick list of upcoming shows, and wonderful information all keep the user entertained.
“Digital Beckley really has provided us with a wonderful resource with the web site”, Gayle Bowling, General Manager for TWV said, “As you know, last year’s budget cuts and continued budget cuts have severely impacted us and we strive to continue to do more with less. Digital Beckley has really stepped up by contributing this creative web site to both market our shows and to interact with our communities and audiences everywhere.”
“We’re all extremely excited that we can now refer people to the site with pride” mentions Kandace Clay, Marketing Director for TWV. “The site allows us to provide real-time information with a depth we never could before. This is a great way for us to begin working with technology to save costs and build support from tourists, parents, and people in communities all over the state and nationwide. We’re already making plans on the next steps, the next evolution of the site. ”
The focus of this site was to not only get a professional look to present TWV online, but also to provide real-time information that is easily managed by the staff at TWV. Site visitors are presented with a pleasing interface that is easy to use and isn’t overwhelming. Well organized information is only one or two clicks away no matter where you are in the site.
The site presents everything from cast listings to travelling troupes and from show descriptions to the professional training they provide. Whether you are an actor, a parent wanting to get your child into acting, a local or a tourist, there is something for everyone. TWV’s diversity of shows, from children’s and teen main stage productions to heroic drama and romance is well represented on the site. The web site demonstrates what an excellent fine arts community exists in West Virginia. These world class long running shows and newer annual productions keep people of all ages either coming back for more or simply enjoying the culture of West Virginia for the first time.
